Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist Team Leader Reading
• To ensure that all physiotherapy care is delivered as defined in the quality standards, taking into consideration best practice and all necessary professional codes of conduct where applicable. Best practice represents the most current, evidence based, professional and appropriate approach to the treatment of neuro-musculoskeletal conditions.
• To deliver physiotherapy care using primarily a “hands on” approach, requiring sparing use of electrotherapeutic modalities.
• To work within a multidisciplinary Musculoskeletal Medicine team; cultivating professional relationships within the team, helping to develop and enhance the team approach.
to recruit and induct musculo-skeletal physiotherapists
• Perform annual appraisal on team members within region
• Carry out PPM on employed members of staff
• To provide clinical leadership to team, assisting with clinical queries
• To assist with complaint handling for team members according to ISO procedure
Business development also part of the role.
• Chartered Physiotherapist and practising member of the CSP
• Practising member of the HPC
• Extensive post graduate working experience in musculoskeletal medicine
• Post graduate qualifications preferential e.g. appropriate MSc, MACP.
• Experience with sports injuries
• Experience with occupational health.
• Experience treating private patients
• Excellent communication skills.
• Interest in continuing development –professional & business
• Computer literate |
